Introduction

A couple of years back, I read Letters To The Lost By Brigid Kemmerer. Fast forward to today, I find it resting on my bookshelf and decide to write a review about it. This book is in the romance genre and about Juliet who has suffered the loss of her mother and Declan, who has a broken family. One day, Juliet leaves a letter on her mother’s grave, and Declan, who discovers it and responds.

Story

This book starts with Declan discovering Juliet’s letter to her mother at the graveyard. Haunted by his grief he adds a few of his words to it. When Juliet discovers that someone wrote in her letter, she writes back furious words about him ruining the only connection she has with her mother. As Declan writes back and they start sharing more and more letters anonymously, they realize they are in love. But as the secrets about their past some out of the shadows, this relationship might threaten to fall apart.

Opinion

Even though I don’t read romance books, I got suggested this by a friend and was immediately drawn to it because of its clear emotional and physical details. It had descriptive wording that made you feel like you were in the story. I would recommend this book to teenagers who like reading realistic fiction/romance titles, but older audiences can read it too. I rate this book a 5 star out of 5 because of its vivid detail and plot.
