Introduction

I just finished reading a book called The Proto Project by Bryan R. Johnson. It’s a great realistic/science fiction book which includes high-tech, mystery, and crime. Read this book review to find out about this book and what I think of it.

Story

In this book, a boy named Jason Perèz meets his mom’s company, Recode Global, Relying on the formula HI (Human Intelligence)+ AI (Artificial Intelligence) = The World Today. His mom shows him a billion-dollar AI that could change the way humanity lives. That AI is stolen and Jason and his friend Maya pry at the mystery trying to find out who or what is in the center of the mystery.

Opinion

I like this book because it mixes elements of mystery and crime into science fiction, all of which I like very much. It is also an intense and action-packed book. Jason and Maya have continuous adventures one after another. If you’re into these genres, this will be a great book for you. I rate this book 4 stars because it contains elements of all my favorite genres.

Quotes

“Who could try to steal Proto and kidnap mom?” (Johnson, 45). This shows that events start to unfold in a very interesting way.

“Recode Global is the most high tech engineering and design company on the planet!” (Johnson, 9). This shows that this story has a very interesting setting.

“Sooo….ummm…Proto is a regular watch?” (Johnson, 12). This shows that Proto the AI looks like an ordinary watch and is an interesting character in the story.
