Introduction

I just finished reading The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins. It’s a great read in the Science Fiction genre about a boy who finds himself in a mysterious land below New York City. There, he discovers a whole civilization consisting of people, rats, mice. and other critters. But Gregor is suspected of being ‘The Warrior’ in a number of prophecies, and he will have to fulfill these prophecies to gain any chance of returning home. Read this book review to find out more about this book and what I think of it.

Gregor The Overlander: The first book in The Underland Chronicles

Story

This book follows a boy called Gregor, Gregor accidentally falls through a grate in his laundry room while following his three-year-old sister. He finds himself hundreds of miles below New York City. There he finds a civilization of humans who live uneasily with giant cockroaches, rats, and bats. But he is suspected of being ‘The Warrior’ at the center of a major prophecy, and unless he completes it, he cannot even hope to return back home.

Opinion

I love this book because its whole story is really creative. It is a fast-paced page-turner. This book has unexpected plot twists that make it even better!. This is a great book for fiction readers who are in middle school or above. I rate this book 5 stars because it’s filled with many plot twists and action-packed scenarios that make it a very fun read.
