Introduction
I just finished reading Weather For Dummies by John D. Cox. It is a 368-pages informative non-fiction book that explains the Earth’s weather in a way everyone will understand. Read this book review to find out more about this book and what I think of it.
What It’s About
Weather For Dummies explains what weather is and how it works. It covers different cloud types, how weather is different from climate, global warming, and most importantly, how to avoid dangers from weather hazards. It also covers how the weather affected people in the past. It also refers to sites you can use for updates and warnings on the weather.
My thoughts…
I like this book because it explains hard topics in a manner that can be easily understood. This book also provides a good laugh during short historic weather events and disasters, which are common in this book. If you’re a person who wants to learn about weather and climate quickly and easily, this is the book for you. But if you want an in-depth explanation and details, this book only skims the surface and you would like to go through additional books. I rate this book 4 stars because it explains its contents in a simple yet informative way.
